Well, the Butcher of Bridle Trails got his first kill of the season.  Jeez, he's over 15 YO and has to wear three bells on his collar.  How does he keep doing it?
 
It's a good thing for the birds that he is mostly an indoor boy, but we still can't figure out how he is still so successful no matter how many bells we attach to him.

Well, we survived the change to daylight savings time...it's always a rough bump to lose that hour.  Not sure why, it's not like lost time is a once a year occasion :) Even so, transitioning into the warmer months takes a little more time. 

This recipe is a perfect in-between-seasons meal item.  Not a gut bomb for adding winter pounds, but not a light/fresh crispy green dish that summer will somehow inspire us to eat. 

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:  the Pesto Grilled cheese sandwich:  the photo is a thing of beauty.  Take the basic premise of this sammich and go your own direction.  If you have a favorite melting cheese, experiment with that one instead of using the recommended one.  Hey, live life on the edge.
